Dan Gotthardt, MS; ATC; LAT; CEAS I

    Dan has years of experience in the allied heath care field.   Beginning with the Fire/Rescue services, moving into secondary schools, Division 1 collegiate level, and also the industrial injury prevention area.       He is nationally certified with the National Athletic Trainers’ Association- Board of Certification (NATA-BOC) and a licensed athletic trainer in Virginia, Florida, and Iowa.    In addition he's a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and OSHA 10 certified.

The DSMS staffing is made up of a well vetted crew of experienced certified athletic trainers in the local areas. ​
Latest Staff Recognition  
On September 3,2022, Our River City crew covering the Virginia Cup soccer tournament assisted a referee whom went into cardiac arrest. They provided life saving care until Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene.  The three ATC's Chad Cooke, Jason Doctor, and Grant Silvestri, were awarded the Virginia Athletic Trainers' Association Presidential Citation Award for their efforts. Congratulations for a well deserved recognition.
