Dan Gotthardt, MS; ATC; LAT; CEAS I

    Dan has a long history in the allied heath care field.  He began his journey working as an Firefighter/EMT with the Montgomery County Fire/Rescue Service in Maryland.  He attended the University of Maryland in 1997 and earned a B.S. degree in Kinesiology.  Then continued his education at the United States Sports Academy in 1999, graduating with a M.S. in Sports Medicine.  He is certified as a National Athletic Trainers’ Association- Board of Certification (NATA-BOC) athletic trainer and a licensed athletic trainer in Virginia, Florida, and South Carolina.  
    Dan started in athletic training working at the College of William and Mary, assigned to assist the football and women’s basketball teams.  After that time, he moved on to Christ Church School in Saluda, Va.  He served as the head trainer at the boarding school, which he built a sports medicine curriculum, an athletic training program, overseeing all sports, assisted with hosting baseball state championships, lacrosse tournaments, served the championship crew team, and covering summer camps. 
  After completing his mission at Christ Church, he moved on to work at Lafayette high school, in Williamsburg, Va.  Again, he built a sports medicine curriculum and student athletic training assistant program.  Several of his students are now professionals in the allied health care field.  While at Lafayette, Dan assisted with managing wrestling tournaments, cheerleading competitions, state swim and volleyball championships, and several other sports events.   
  Most recently, Dan works for Brioitx Health serving as an Industrial Sports Medicine Professional.  He works with manufacturing plants in the Richmond, Va area, providing ergonomic consultations, risk assessments, and injury assistants.
Through the years, Dan has built relationships with several sport organizations. He served as the Athletic Training Coordinator for Soccer Management Company (SMC) for over 8 years. He also is the Athletic Training Coordinator for the Virginia Legacy soccer club.  There he worked with their NPSL, WPSL, and CCL teams, covering all their games.  He also has served as an Athletic Trainer for the Jefferson Cup soccer for over 10 years.  He has spent some time working with AAU basketball, several soccer tournaments, lacrosse tournaments, Virginia State gymnastics, College fencing, Rugby, and US regional trampoline and tumbling competitions.
  Dan has served as the medical authority in several sporting venues and events, over his career.  He knows firsthand what is needed to offer the most comprehensive and quality of health care for athletes.  He has a passion and desire to provide an organized and secure sports medicine experience for any athlete, parents, or clubs.
